An engine that’s naturally aspirated, featuring a generous four-liter displacement and six cylinders, horizontally opposed, positioned at the rear. Six individual throttle bodies deliver a heightened engine responsiveness that’s remarkably manageable. All of this accompanies a purebred sound that will engulf you from every angle.
The 7-speed PDK features an even sportier configuration, with gearshift paddles offering crisp, short throws. Alternatively, you can directly change gears using the PDK gear selector, which in the new 911 GT3 is designed as a manual lever. Regardless of your shifting method, the seven performance-focused gears provide a rich racing experience. Experience a test drive of the 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 at Porsche Long Beach in Lakewood today.
For the initial time in a 911 GT3, a double wishbone front suspension has been incorporated. This has brought about a substantial enhancement in the reactivity of the front axle and a reduction in friction in the shock absorbers. The novel axle configuration permits an arrangement that augments cornering stability on Belmont Shore roads, delivering even swifter steering responses, thus enabling even higher cornering speeds.
The fresh aerodynamics philosophy of the 911 GT3 upholds this principle, firmly emphasizing the concept of ‘function dictates form.’ Everything aligns with this philosophy – wings, diffusers, air intakes. The objective is to attain exceptional grip in all driving situations.
Incoming air serves to cool the brakes while the coated air intake grilles safeguard against foreign debris. The air outlets within the central radiator are now seamlessly integrated into the carbon fiber hood, accentuating the motorsport aesthetics. Achieving a balance between downforce, equilibrium, and cooling is crucial. The broad front spoiler lip further enhances front axle downforce.
The new top-mounted wing, borrowed from the 911 RSR, generates substantial downforce. The swan-neck connection, as it’s known, guarantees a streamlined airflow beneath the wing, resulting in significantly reduced downforce loss. The entirely redesigned rear diffuser, featuring large slats, is aerodynamically effective, providing up to four times more rear downforce compared to its predecessor’s rear diffuser.
For the inaugural time, the 911 GT3 features differing wheel sizes, with 20-inch wheels on the front axle and 21-inch wheels on the rear axle. These broad wheels translate to a substantial contact area, delivering elevated dynamic performance on the roads of Signal Hill.
The GT3 Sport steering wheel equipped with PDK gearshift paddles allows for swift gear changes reminiscent of motorsport. Its non-slip steering wheel rim provides a comfortable grip, even during spirited driving. All materials are minimalist yet of premium quality. The Sport Seats Plus come with heightened side bolsters, standard electric seat height and backrest adjustments, along with manual fore/aft adjustment.
A 10.9-inch touchscreen display, 7-inch TFT displays, Porsche Connect, Apple CarPlay®, and the most recent generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM), which serves as the central hub for audio, navigation, and communication, along with a range of assistance systems. A novel feature is the selectable track screen that presents pertinent track-related data upon request, such as tire pressure, g-force, stopwatch, water temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure.
